  7. Once you have set up the software you are ready to connect to the PIPEX Solo service.<p>

  10. Press the connect button and the application will pass your details to the service so that you are able to use the system. <p>

  12. There are a number of stages that the application goes through while it is connecting to the service.<p>

  15. <img src="file:///c|/solo2/nshelp/dot.gif"> The first of which is that of initialising the modem. Here the application sends a set-up string to the modem and prepares it for dialling out.<p>

  17. <img src="file:///c|/solo2/nshelp/dot.gif"> The next stage is of dialling. Here the application dials the appropriate PoP number that you have chosen to dial in to.<p>

  19. <img src="file:///c|/solo2/nshelp/dot.gif"> Once the modem has dialled, then the application logs in to the system. In this section the application is sending your user details to the server.<p>
